PSYCHOSOCIAL RECOVERY COACHING
You may have heard of a new NDIS support called “Psychosocial Recovery Coaches”, but might be unsure what it means? Sage explains in more detail what this new support is, and how it can help you.
What is Psychosocial Recovery Coaching?
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is an NDIS funded support that may be included in an NDIS plan for Participants who have psychosocial support needs that effect their daily lives.
Some of psychosocial disabilities may be;
- Schizophrenia
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Bi-polar disorder
- Severe and persistent anxiety
- Depression
You must have this support included in your ‘Support Coordination’ budget within you NDIS plan in order to engage in this service. Your NDIA Planner or LAC can assist you to request this support in your NDIS plan.
